Hopefully those 6 Eastern and 2 Western teams who failed will get their act in order to ensure all results get published in the media each week. Also thanks to clubs and league officials for their co-operation in getting the Yearbooks delivered across the county over the past few days.

Lanhydrock Cricket Ground this year are trying to get a 6-a-side cricket league up and running. The games will be on Friday evening and will only be 12 overs per innings. Therefore, we are hoping that this will appeal to the cricketers who do not want to commit to a whole Saturday. However, in time getting more people participating in Cricket. Junior Players Playing in Adult Cricket - Clarification

There has been some mis-interpretation of the recent newsletter item which has now been re-worded as follows to hopefully clarify any confusion.

The Latest ECB guidance is to be adopted apart from that referring to Under 11 age players, whereby new CCL ruling 14.1.14 shall apply. ie - "a player must be a minimum of 12 years of age on the actual match day to participate in CCL matches." Any player in the Under 13 age-group must have explicit written consent from a parent or guardian before participating in adult matches. (Age-groups are based on the age of the player at midnight on 31st August in the year preceding the current season).

To comply with this guidance the League requests a parental letter of consent and where a young talented player is playing in the higher divisions and under regular County coaching we receive a statement from the coach that the player is technically sound to play with adults at a higher level.

Playing Shirts Following a request the LMC have decided to permit clubs to have player numbers and names on the back of shirts if they so wish. Numbers no larger than 250mm and names to be surname with initials only and no larger than 75mm. No nick names are permitted. The existing guidelines for shirt colours, advertising logos etc remain as listed under Rule 35.
