Cornwall 'A' lose to Cornish Crusaders

In the annual representative match at Camborne Cornish Crusaders beat Cornwall 'A' by 32 runs. The Crusaders recovered well from 93-7 to reach 180. Charlie Shreck and Laura Harper adding 76 for the 8th wicket. The Cornwall 'A' team were bowled out with 7 overs of the last hour remaining.

Cornwall to meet Cheshire in the C & G Trophy 2002 Rd 2 on 13th Sept at Toft

Following today's (29th Aug) 1st Rd Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy 2002 games in the 2nd Round on Thursday 13th September Cornwall will now be away to Cheshire (repeat of this year's first round which Cornwall won at Camborne chasing 257 by 3 wkts wirh 5 balls to spare). Ironically the sides didn't play in other in the Championship this year for the first time since 1983 when the competition was re-formatted.

Cheshire beat Lancashire C B in their first Round game by 8 wickets.

Liskeard beat Veryan and Mt Hawke & Porthtowan (199) beat Mylor (97) in the semi- finals on Sunday 28th July. The final is due to be played on Sunday 19th August at a venue to be confirmed.
