After Herefordshire were dismissed for 291 they were asked to follow on and were immediately in trouble at 25-4. They survived to reach 88 for 6 at the close of day 2 with Bostock and Hunkin taking three wickets apiece. The seventh wicket stand between Rawnsley and Shilvock added 89 until it was broken after 45 minutes of the third morning.
