Herefordshire v Cornwall at Brockhampton Full Match Scorecards & Reports play-cricket detailed scorecard Day 3 Cornwall ended their Minor Counties season with a win on Tuesday evening when they defeated Herefordshire by 108 runs at Brockhampton. After Cornwall lost their final wicket without addition in the morning the home team were set 394 and were bowled out shortly before 5pm for 285. Having reached 93 for 2 they then lost the important wickets of Chris Boroughs for 28 and Harshad Patel for 51 just before lunch. Wickets fell steadily during the afternoon but the ninth wicket pair of Richard Johnson (28no) and Peter Scott (44) added 71 to frustrate the Cornish bowlers before the last two wickets fell in quick succession at the same score of 285. Neil Ivamy took 3 for 48 with Lee Caddy, Chris Hunkin and Sharp taking two each. Young Matt Robins held three fine catches. Cornwall took a maximum 24 points from the game. Herefordshire 2nd innings 285 all out (HV Patel 51, P Scott 44; N Ivamy 3-48, T Sharp 2-32, L Caddy 2-50, C Hunkin 2-58, R Harrison 1-71). Play can continue until 8pm Herefordshire have won the toss and invited Cornwall to bat Cornwall enjoyed a good opening day to their Minor Counties Championship game with Herefordshire at Brockhampton. After losing Matt Robins, Tom Sharp and Anthony Penberthy with 76 on the board they recovered to make 375 for 8 off 84 overs. Opener Jonathan Kent made 45 as did Truro clubmate Ben Price. The highlight of the innings was a 128 run stand for the seventh wicket between Chris Hunkin and Mark Horwell. Hunkin made his maiden county century before being dismissed for 115 while stand in wicket keeper Horwell hit 47.
