Cornwall County Cricket Club Fixtures 2012 There will be new opponents in the MCCA Trophy following the biennial revisions to the groups. The only previous clash with Bedfordshire was in 2004 when the competition was a straight knock-out. Last season’s beaten finalists Hertfordshire’s only previous meetings were two championship games back in 1927. Oxfordshire will be met for the first time in the Trophy while old adversaries Devon make up the quartet. In an early start to the competition Oxfordshire will play at St Austell on Sunday 22 April with Cornwall completing all four group games by 13 May. In the Championship there are a couple of new venues for the county with an opening trip to the Malverns to play Herefordshire at Eastnor. The Oxfordshire game is being staged at Great & Little Tew near Banbury. The season ends against Wales MC at Abergavenny. Successive mid season games will see the reigning champions Devon, Wiltshire and Cheshire make the journeys to St Austell, Falmouth and Truro respectively.
