Tuesday 16th December 2003 Cornwall County Cricket club skipper Tom Sharp received a top award today from the Chief Executive of the ECB, Tim Lamb, at Lord's Cricket Ground.
He received the Frank Edwards Trophy for the bowler with the leading average in the Minor Counties Championship for 2003. He took 23 wickets at an average of 15.30. He is the third Cornish bowler to receive the award, which has been awarded annually since 1970. He follows Dave Halfyard who won it in 1974 and Chris Lovell in 1995.
