Jolly's Drinks Complementary Cup Competition 2004 First Rd on 6June Qtr Finals Sun 4th July, Semi-Finals Sun 25th July Final Sun 15th August (at Perranporth CC) Last update 15 Aug Long Rock won the Jolly's Drinks Complementary Cup Final on Sunday 15th Aug at Perranporth when, in a rain ruined game, they won a bowl out against Boconnoc 2-0. Boconnoc had made the big total of 238-3 in their 40 overs. Keith Sturgess (48) and John Niblett (40) added 85 for the first wicket. Mike Blake hit a six and 7 fours in his 64 not out and Will Geach 42 as the 200 mark was passed. Steve Trathan, David Wynter and Ashley Waters took a wicket apiece. Rain fell soon after tea with only 6 overs of the Long Rock reply possible. With the necessary 10 overs not having been bowled in order to achieve a result on run rate the captains elected to stage a bowl out as opposed to sharing the trophy. With five attempts by each side only Long Rock’s Trathan and Nicholls hit the stumps. Sponsor Mr Nigel Jolly made the presentations.
