Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League

Promotions & Relegations for 2005

The Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League Management Committee have confirmed promotions & relegations for the 2005 season. In the Eastern section there is the usual two up and two down in all divisions. However in the Western Section no-one is relegated into Division Two West, as only St Minver have gone down into Division Two East, in order to fill the vacancy in the Premier Division caused by St Buryan's withdrawal last winter. As a result only one team is relegated from Divisions Two, Three and Four West. No teams are relegated from Divisions Five and Six West in order to make up the numbers following the additional vacancies caused by the withdrawals of Heathcoats and Goldsithney Seconds during the season. The composition of the Divisions Seven & Eight will be confirmed once the applications to join and to seek re-election (by 30th September) have been considered by the LMC at their October meeting.

Teams in the West to benefit from only one being relegated are Praze in Division Two, who found themselves second from bottom after Crofty / Holman just managed to get the four points they required to overtake them on the final spare weekend of the season when they scored 3-0 before rain caused an abandonment against Constantine. Also reprieved are St Levan in Division Three, St Ives Seconds in Division Four, Falmouth Thirds and St Buryan in Division Five and Mt Hawke & Porthtowan Seconds and Gulval Seconds in Division Six.
