The Falmouth innings was then somewhat rescued by a superb stand of 76 between Antony Angove (41 not out) and Stefan Churcher (46 not out) plus a quick fire 24 from Richard Kellow to see the innings finish on 143 - 4 from their 12 overs.

Werrington got off to the worst possible start with Matt Robbins failing to trouble the scorers. Mark Horwell and Nigel Dennis put things back on track both retiring on 25. Some momentum was then lost. Rob Dymond made 4, Bas Allen 0, and Roy Cobbledick 13 before Horwell and Dennis returned to the crease. Regional Final

Barrington (Somerset) v Falmouth at Taunton Cricket School of Excellence on Sunday 20th February 2005

Falmouth made the long trip to the at the County Ground Taunton to play their National knockout indoor cricket match against Barrington CC on Sunday. Unfortunately this years County champions returned a beaten side having not performed as well as they might have done despite limiting the Somerset champions to 123 all out.

The home side won the toss and elected to bat, and got off to a flyer despite losing French to a sharp piece of fielding by Adrian Noott. Smith and Pitman kept up the good scoring rate, and both retired having reached 25 without incident. Barrington then lost three quick wickets, with Larry Martin and Antony Angove picking up a wicket apiece, and Mark Burley effecting the second run out of the innings. This brought Pitman and Smith back to the crease and despite continuing to score, the home side will have been disappointed not to have batted out the overs, Noott claimed his second run out, and Stefan Churcher claiming the last wicket in the penultimate over as Pitman was caught behind for 45, Smith, the only other batsman to make double figures had made 41.

Falmouth's reply got off to an equally good start as Martin and Burley ran well in the early overs. Martin reached 25 and retired, however Burley was adjudged LBW for a well-made 20 as the first wicket fell. This brought Noott to the crease and he looked in no trouble until he was run out in a tight decision for 12. Angove tried to increase the slowing scoring rate but could only smash the ball straight at Smith for a well taken caught and bowled. The home side had held back their two most effective bowlers however, and Pitman especially bowled very well to remove Churcher, and when Martin was run out, it left Richard Kellow with the unenviable task of scoring 35 from the last over. Pitman finished the match with the first ball as Kellow was bowled for 6 leaving Falmouth well short on 88 all out. Somerset will now play the Isle of Wight.

Barrington 123 (Pitman 45, Smith 41) beat Falmouth 88 ( L Martin 27, M Burley 20) by 35 runs
