Falmouth won the Western Indoor six-a-side competition at Redruth Cricket Centre of Excellence when they beat Beacon by 2 wickets with just 4 balls to spare in a well contested final. Beacon lost both openers Daren Proctor and Robert Trembath run out without scoring. Kevin Thomas (27) and Karl Turner (31) rallied but they were bowled out for 82 in the 10th over with Mark Averiss taking 3-21. Falmouth looked to be cruising to victory at 68-1 in the 8th over of 12 but Larry Martin's dismissal for 24 signalled a collapse as 3 wickets fell for 1 run. Falmouth still needed 11 off the last two overs but Mark Burley though saw his side home with 33 not out. Beacon skipper Steve Eddy bowled well to concede only 4 runs off his three overs.

Beacon won their semi-final against Helston when in a thrilling finish they won of the last ball with a run out while Falmouth had a comfortable 45 run win over Truro.
