COURSE TITLE UKCC1 1st4sport Assistant Cricket Coach Award

COURSE CONTENT This qualification will allow successful candidates to work with more qualified coaches when coaching groups of players. The course is structured with 4 modules of work, a multiple choice questionnaire and a final group coaching assessment.

Module 1: Introduction to Cricket Coaching

Module 2: Using Games to Promote Learning

Module 3: Developing Technical Skills Using Group Coaching

WHO This course is open to anybody interested in starting out on the coaching journey and furthering their coaching knowledge. Candidates are expected to attend all dates and modules including the assessment and be willing to make a commitment to improve cricket in Cornwall through schools, clubs Area and County Coaching.

Saturday 20th October 10:00 – 6:00pm

Sunday 21st October 10:00 – 6:00pm

Saturday 27th October 10:00 – 4:00pm (Assessment)

COST £150 (There will be a bursary of £30.00 made by the Cornwall Cricket Board if individuals complete the course and continue to work within Clubs and Schools in Cornwall.)

Additional Comments All candidates are expected to have completed a Safeguarding and Child Protection Course and a First Aid Course prior to the start of the UKCC1 Course. Proof will be required by the course administrator on application. Candidates must wear suitable clothing and footwear and it is advised that coaches have a suitable time piece.

Candidates are advised to bring enough food and drink for the day, pen and paper for note taking. Candidates can enquire about Safeguarding and Child protection and First Aid on the numbers below.

Applications will be assessed and candidates might be signposted to the UKCC2 qualification depending on experience.

'Emergency First Aid for Cricket Coaches'

These courses have been designed with cricket coaches in mind and will cater for every eventuality on the cricket field or indoor nets. These have been organised specifically for the UKCC1 and UKCC2 courses coming up in the Autumn / Winter.
