There were some surprise results on the final day in County Division 1. Champions Hayle, fielding a wekened team, came unstuck at bottom side Goldsithney losing by 68 runs after Goldsithney hit a huge 331 for 6. St Austell secured runners up spot, despite losing at home to Rosudgeon by 2 wickets in a game that produced over 500 runs. Penzance finished third after six wicket home win over Gorran. At the bottom Redruth ensured their survival with an 87 run win over Launceston while neighbours Beacon ended in the relegation zone despite beating Paul by 48 runs. In County Division 1 Hayle were presented with the trophy after beating Penzance by 36 runs in a low scoring game. St Austell move into second spot after winning at Gorran by 194 runs. Paul beat Rosudgeon by 143 runs, Wadebridge won at Launceston by five wickets. Beacon beat neighbours Troon by just one wicket while bottom club Goldsithney surprised Redruth to win by three wickets

Hayle only need 7 points from their final two games to secure the title. They won at Redruth by 83 runs. Second placed Penzance had a narrow 8 run win at Rosudgeon. St Austell move up to joint second after a mammoth 214 run win over a weakened ten man Beacon with Dan Jarman making 161 and Craig Richards 102 in St Austell’s 303 for 4 declared in 36 overs. Elsewhere Paul beat Wadebridge by 131 runs, Troon beat Launceston by 128 runs and Gorran beat Goldsithney by 41 runs.

Penzance moved up to second after beating Paul by seven wickets. Third placed St Austell beat Redruth by 4 wickets. Elsewhere Wadebridge beat Gorran by six wickets, Struggling Beacon surprised Rosudgeon to win by 29 runs while bottom of the table Goldsithney lost at home to Troon by 8 wickets.

In County Division I the leaders Hayle took another step towards the title when their game against second placed Paul was abandoned due to bad light. Paul were 52 for 4 in reply to Hayle's 177 all out. Elsewhere Wadebridge beat Beacon by 6 wickets and Penzance had a four wicket home win over Redruth. The games at Goldsithney, Launceston and Troon were all cancelled due to the weather.

Beacon were sensationally shot out for just 12 runs at home to Penzance. Justin Stephens took 8 for 5 from 7 overs as Penzance went on to win by 9 wickets. Leaders Hayle won comfortably by six wickets at Gorran. Paul’s home game with Launceston and the Troon v Redruth games were both abandoned in the early evening due to rain. Rosudgeon beat Goldsithney by 6 wickets and St Austell beat Wadebridge by 8 wickets.

Hayle extended their lead with maximum points at home to Wadebridge whilst all their nearest rivals were rained off. Wadebridge were dismissed for 100 and Hayle knocked off the runs for the loss of three wickets. The big game between second and third, Paul v St Austell was called off after Paul were 153 for 4 in 36 overs. Elsewhere Rosudgeon beat Redruth by 9 wickets, Penzance beat Troon by 99 runs, Launceston beat Goldsithney by 6 wickets while Gorran’s game with Beacon was abandoned after Gorran had made 219 for 6.

In County Division 1 a high scoring game saw leaders Hayle make 289-5 at Rosudgeon who made 280-9 in reply to lose by just 9 runs. Paul had a four wicket home win over Troon. St Austell beat Launceston by 9 wickets, Wadebridge made 320-3 and hammered Penzance by 165 runs with Neil Kent making 136 not out. Gorran won at Redruth by three wickets. Beacon won the bottom of the table clash with Goldsithney by four wickets.

Paul lost a thrilling game at fourth placed Gorran by 3 wickets, in the last over, after making the big score of 257. Elsewhere Penzance and Rosudgeon take closer order with only 26 points covering the top six teams now. Penzance won at Goldsithney by 7 wickets and Rosudgeon beat Troon by 80 runs. Wadebridge beat Redruth by 4 wickets while bottom club Beacon lost at Launceston by 3 wickets.

In the County Division 1 match of the day Hayle made 223-4 at Paul to win by 6 wickets and take over at the top.. There were big wins for Penzance who beat Redruth by 201 runs. Justin Stephens, ahead of today's county game, made 72 and took 6 for 15. St Austell made a massive 353-6 at home to Goldsithney with Matt Ellison making 126. Goldsithney were 75 all out. Gorran move to third after an eight wicket win at home to Troon, Rob Hurrell making 117. Robert Trembath also made 117 but was on the losing side at Beacon where the Wadebridge made 244-5 to win by 5 wickets. Elsewhere Rosudgeon beat Launceston by 3 wickets.
