CSCA Presentation Evening 2003

held at the Ponsmere Hotel, Perranporth on 4th October

Chris Martin receives the Ted Collins Memorial Trophy (fot the outstanding cricketer) from Mr Norman Gifford.

The former Worcestershire and Warwickshire slow left arm bowler Norman Gifford, who was capped fifteen times by England between 1964 and 1973 was the guest of honour at the Cornwall Schools' Cricket Association's Annual Presentation Evening held at Perranporth. Currently coach of one of the Sussex county youth teams Mr Gifford presented the awards, which for the first time this year included the County Under 15 Girls. Awards were also made to the Under 17's, whose administration was taken over by the CSCA from the County Club this year.

Under 15 Girls Batting - Natasha Weeks (Camborne), Bowling - Jennifer Pierce (Penair), All-rounder- Melissa Rowe (Camborne).

Under 16's Batting - Tom Edwards (Cape Cornwall) , All- rounder - Ashley Hockin (Budehaven), Bowling - Gyles Reynolds (Sir James Smith, Camelford).

Long Service Awards - Peter Butler (Camborne), Tom Edwards (Cape Cornwall), Caz James (Mounts Bay) and Neil Rowse (Penair).
