The Nineteenth Bunbury English Schools Cricket Association Under 15 Cricket Festival 2005
to be held in Cornwall from Sunday 17th to Friday 22nd July 2005 Tournament Schedule Lashings Flyer / Poster Venues Links The ninenteenth Bunbury Festival for the best Under 15 cricketers in the country will be held in Cornwall next week. Teams will represent the West, South, Midlands and North. The West Region will play it's games at the Newquay Cricket Club ground at the Sports Centre with the St Austell, Falmouth, Perranporth and Truro club grounds each being used to stage a game during the week. Matches are off 111 overs. Cornwall Schools and Werrington player Matt Robins has been selected for the West team. What is described as "the best team ever to play cricket in Cornwall" will launch the Bunbury Festival. A special game is being held at the Newquay Sports Centre on Sunday 17th July at 2pm. A select Young England team will take on the famous Lashings Cricket Club which comprises of International stars past and present. Named in the Lashings line up are Greg Blewett (Aus), Gordon Greenidge (WI), Alvin Kallicharan (WI), Richie Richardson (WI), Herschelle Gibbs (SA), Chris Harris (NZ), Henry Olonga (Zimbabwe), Mark Richardson (NZ), Vasbert Drakes (WI). Entry by programme available on the gate Adults £5, Children £2. The Chairman of the England Test Selectors, David Graveney, will be presenting caps on Monday morning at 9 am and he will be joined at the Festival Dinner later in the week by David Collier, Chief Executive of the ECB.. There will be an opportunity to meet the players at a pre match lunch between 11.30am and 1.30pm. It will give the opportunity to enjoy friendly hospitality and an auction of cricket memorabilia.
