Cornwall Under 12's entertaind South African Tourists St Stithians School lost the toss and were put into bat by Cornwall and raced away during the first part of their innings by scoring an impressive 113 runs from the first 16 overs for the loss of only one wicket. Cornwall fought back with some tight bowling from Hugh Parkinson and Matthew Adams, who took two wickets for eleven runs in his first spell of four overs. St Stithians regained some composure and steadily amassed a score of 243 in their allotted 50 overs. Accurate bowling by St. Stithians restricted the run rate of the Cornwall batsmen and wickets began to fall at regular intervals. The weather intervenedas a victory for Cornwall was sliding away. The match was declared a draw. Cornwall Under 12's enjoyed hosting the boys from South Africa and they look forward to the opportunity to a return fixture in South Africa on their tour in February 2005.

Anyone interested in sponsoring a player on the tour to Johannesburg and Cape Town, please contact Rob Adams on 01872 270044.
