Premier League will start earlier in August

The Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League's Management Committee have taken positive steps to alleviate any problems with bad light towards the end of the season in Premier League games. Having monitored the finish times throughout the first half of the season the committee have been increasingly concerned over late finishing times due to slow over rates despite statutory points deductions being imposed.

To avoid the likelihood of games being abandoned due to bad light at the end of the season the committee have decided that games on or after Saturday 11th August will now start at 1.00pm rather than 1.30pm. Prior to the season clubs had voted by a majority to move the time back from the original 1pm start time at the expense of increasing the required over rate from 17 to 18 overs per hour.
