There was an amazing occurrence in Saturday's Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League's Division 5 (West) game at Gulval between Gulval Seconds and Leedstown Seconds. With Leedstown's last pair at the crease Andrew Robinson hit 6 sixes in an over off the bowling of Shane Eddy.It may well be the first time ever this has occured in the Cornwall Cricket League's history. A fieldsman got his hand to two of the strikes while another dented a car bonnet. To make the event even more remarkable Eddy, in his previous over, had taken a hat trick on his way to figures of 6-54. Gulval made 140 and Leedstown finished on 101 all out to lose the game by 39 runs.

The Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League's LMC have invoked Rule 17.4.3 which allows Clubs that have three or more players in the Cornwall Under 15 match scheduled for Monday 29th May can re-arrange their fixture.

Penzance Fourths have withdrawn with immediate effect from Division 8 West of the Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League. It leaves six teams in the division playing each other on three occasions.

Match reporting has been encouraging at the start of the new Cornwall League season.Over 80% (61 of a potential 75) of results were phoned in on Monday evening by 9pm or emailed on Tuesday. All clubs are reminded of their responsibilities to get results in by phone or email on the eveningof games for inclusion in the press and online.click here  for numbers etc and the updated Result lists including late results..

Simon Langsford must have been unluckiest bowler in Bank Holiday Monday's Cornwall league programme. Playing for Launceston Seconds against Callington Seconds in Division 3 East he took the first 9 wickets and had the tenth dropped twice! He took 9-36 as Launceston won by 136 runs.
