Torpoint lose appeal but Tregony relegated The Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League Management Committee has made an alteration to the divisions for 2004. As a result of a protest, the LMC has had to review its procedures in formulating the Divisions. This follows the news of Torpoint's appeal, on them not being promoted from Division 5 East due to disciplinary actions, having been dismissed by the Cornwall Cricket Board Subsequent to the review the LMC has found that they made an error by not adhering to Rule 7 (a)(iv), when arranging the Divisions 4 and 5 East and have now confirmed the following changes. * Tideford II to be promoted to Division 4 East in addition to Wadebridge II. * Tregony to be relegated to Division 5 East The LMC have apologised to the Clubs concerned. 2004 League format & divisions revised
The Cornwall Association of Cricket Coaches appointed a new secretary at their Annual General Meeting. Former Worcestershire and Lancashire professional Ryan Driver takes over from Nigel Sanders, who decided not to seek re-election. Association Chairman Peter Bolland praised Nigel Sanders for his considerable efforts in the post over the past seven years. He will continue, however, to serve on the Executive Committee. Peter Bolland was re-elected Chairman and Ian Pemberton continues as Treasurer. The Cornwall Women's Team Manager / Coach David Weeks and the Cornwall Under 17 / 15 Girls Manager Marilyn Richards were newly elected to the Executive Committee.

2004 League format & divisions
The sudden death has been reported of Troon CC stalwart Jimmy Vincent , aged 77. In addition to playing for his village side, which included the National Village Championship Final at Lord's in the seventies he made 56 appearances for Cornwall between 1953 & 1964 making 1639 runs @ 21.01. He made 122 against Dorset at Penzance in 1955 sharing the second highest ever County stand of 287 with Bill Murphy (175). He was also a member of the Cornwall Umpires & Scorers Association. The funeral takes place at Troon Methodist Church at 11am on Tuesday 11th November.
Reminder to Jolly's Drinks Cornwall League Club Secretaries - Rule change proposal voting forms must be returned to League Secretary Michael Evans by Tuesday 11th November at the very latest.
The AGM of the league will be held at St. Austell C.C. on the 3rd. December 2003 commencing at 19:30hrs. Attendance of all member clubs is mandatory, failure to send a member delegate will result in a £50 fine which is non negotiable, but we hope will not be necessary. Regards, Nik Lewis Hon. Sec
