Cornwall draw Worcestershire in the C & G Trophy 2002

Cornwall's reward for their excellent win at Cheshire in the 2nd round of the 2002 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy is a first ever tie against Worcestershire at home in next years 3rd Round . The tie has been scheduled for Wednesday 29th May at a venue to be announced by the County.

Neighbours Devon reward for beating Bedfordshire is a home tie with Yorkshire.

Eastern titles decided over the last weekend

Two titles were decided over the final weekend in the Eastern Section of the Jolly's Drinks Cornwall League. Menheniot 2nds after defeating Tregony on Saturday beat Saltash on Sunday to win Division 5 ahead of Tregony.

Ladock 2nds beat nearest rivals Grampoound Road 3rds to take the Division 7 title.

The other respective champions are Menheniot, Luckett, Grampound Road 2nds, Bugle and Looe 2nds

 

Rosudgeon claim Division 2 West Championship

The one outstanding title in the Western Section of the Jolly's Drinks Cornwall League was claimed by Rosudgeon on the spare weekend (Sat 8th) at the end of the season. Having led through the season they needed 15 points in their rearranged game at St Just II on the spare weekend of the season to overcome St Gluvias who had enjoyed a good late run.. They made 176-8 in a 44 over game and St Just were bowled out for 137.

The other title winners already decided are Hayle, Mawnan, Long Rock, St Just 3rds, Camborne 3rds (100% season after a final weekend win over Crofty 2nds) and Porthleven 2nds. The East v West County Finals take place next Sat 15th - full details to follow this week.

 

Wickham Wines Premier League Cup Final Cancelled

Cornwall Cricket League Press Release Tuesday 4th Sept 11 am

With great regret the Jolly's Drinks Cornwall Cricket League have announced the cancellation of Saturday's Wickham Wines Premier League Cup Final where Truro should have met St. Buryan. After assurances given to the League prior to the semi-finals that, in the event of qualifying, they would be able to play the Final on the set date St. Buryan have subsequently informed the League that they are now unable to fulfill their obligation.
