Girls Under 17 & Under 15 Results 2004 Cornwall Under 17 Women 2004 Girls Under 17's v Devon at Penzance CC on Sun 30th May 2004 This game was played at Penzance CC in sunny weather, and is the first Cornwall Under 17 fixture ever. Cornwall Captain Emma Pascoe won the toss and elected to bat. Cornwall scored 158 for 9 wickets off their alloted 45 overs. Top scorers for Cornwall were opening bat Emma Pascoe from Rosudgeon CC who was run out for 65. Fellow opener Hannah Taylor from Truro CC scored 24. The wickets were spread amongst the Devon bowlers. Bowling for Devon:- G Norman took 2 for 17 off 9 overs, and Beth Allin who took 2 for 16 off her 9 overs. Devon in reply scored 136 all out off 45 overs. Beth Allin top scored for Devon with 61 runs. Bowling for Cornwall:- Hannah Grice 9 x overs, 1 x maiden, 23 x runs, 4 x wickets. Claire Noall 10 overs, 1 x maiden, 28 x runs, 2 x wickets.

Cornwall Womens U17s v Sussex Women U17s at Singleton, Nr Chichester. Sat 3rd July Cornwall were bowled out for 47 having faced the most consistent bowling that they have come across, putting the side under pressure from the word go. In reply Sussex passed the score for the loss of 3 wickets. There was a wicket apiece for Melissa Rowe, Jennifer Pierce and Clare Noall. The previous weeks fixtures -U15s v Dorset at Weymouth and U17s v Somerset at Bath were both rained off.
Cornwall Under 15 Girls 2004 Girls Under 15 v Devon at Rosudgeon CC on Sun 30th May 2004 This game was played at Rosudgeon CC. Cornwall Captain Natasha Weekes, from Rosudgeon Ladies, won the toss and elected to field. Devon scored 133 runs for 3 wickets. Heather Knight top-scored 49, and Jo Newton scored 25 Bowling for Cornwall: There was one wicket apiece for Melissa Rowe (Rosudgeon), Nicole Richards (Rosudgeon), and Lauren Horner (Tideford). Cornwall in reply scored 132 all out. Top scorers for Cornwall were Emma Vincent (Tideford) 27, Kerry Matthews (Rosudgeon) 25, Natasha Weekes (Rosudgeon) 13 and Melissa Rowe (Rosudgeon) 13. Bowling for Devon: Nicola Beviss 6 x overs, 0 x maidens, 2 x wickets for 26 x runs. In an enthralling finish, Cornwall were unable to pass the Devon total losing their last wickets with 1 x run to tie and 2 x runs to win the game. Girls Under 15 v Wales at Tideford CC on Sun 6th June 2004 Cornwall Under 15 Girls beat Wales at Tideford on Sunday by 64 runs in their ECB County Championship fixture. Cornwall made 159 all out in the last of their 35 overs thanks to Natasha Weeks with 44 and Melissa Rowe with 19. Wales were dismissed for 95 . Skipper Becky Williams made an excellent fifty but Melissa Rowe took 4-23 (including a hat trick) and Hannah Matthews 3-21.
